Welcome to SFPoC's cultural events programming — public gatherings that bring South Florida residents together around history, the arts, and the humanities. Through film, literature, music, exhibits, walking tours, and panel conversations, we create opportunities for neighbors to learn together and talk together about the places we share.
Every community we work with is different, so every program is shaped to fit. We work closely with venues, partners, and audiences to design events that speak to the questions, histories, and interests of the people in the room. The result is programming that feels local, specific, and meaningful — not one-size-fits-all.
Our events go beyond passive viewing or listening. We pair screenings, readings, and exhibits with facilitated conversation, storytelling, and reflection — so that audiences leave not only having seen something, but having thought about it, talked about it, and connected with someone over it.
